Kiln Hoods

Having adequate ventilation for electric kilns promotes a safe work environment.

Apart from the odour emitted in firing pottery (eg “rotten egg gas”), there can be several potentially harmful emissions (eg carbon monoxide is released when clay and glaze materials are heated) that can pose an extreme health or safety hazard not just for the potter, but also for anyone nearby.

Hamilton Australia can design and fabricate an updraft ventilation system to draw smoke and fumes up and away. They operate utilizing an exhaust hood connected to a chemical exhaust fan via duct work to ensure the hazard is vented safely away.
