SILT and PLASTER TRAPS
Hamilton Australia produces a range of silt/plaster traps, or can custom fabricate something to suit your needs. Our traps have been designed to filter and collect silt particles that discharge from laboratory or commercial wastes.

Our most popular models are the Model 10 “Catch Pot” and the Model 40 “Plaster Trap”.

MODEL 10 “Catch Pot”

This unit is manufactured for the collection of large, heavy particles from laboratory or industry wastes. The “Catch Pot” is a settling tank with a 0.01m3 capacity suitable for servicing a single sink.

MODEL 40 “Plaster Trap”

The Model 40 “Plaster Trap” is suitable for situations where a larger capacity is required (0.040m3). The filtration system utilises stainless steel mesh screen, and is best suited to fine Particle collection.

  • Corrosion resistant S.S. mesh for the screen.
  • 50mm D.W.V. uPVC inlet with removable coupling.
  • 50mm D.W.V. uPVC outlet with removable coupling.

NEUTRALISING BOXES/TANKS

Neutralization Boxes or Tanks are designed to receive, dilute and neutralize corrosive and harmful chemical wastes, before allowing such materials to be discharged in accordance with local environmental requirements.

Waste water passes through the box that is filled with marble chips/ conditioning block (can be supplied) that neutralises the water pH balance prior to exiting the tank (usually into buildings general waste/sewerage lines).

MODEL 16 “Neutralising Pot”

This unit is cylindrical and has a 0.016m3 capacity suitable for light duty use.
Features

  • Non-corrosive, fully welded uPVC body and lid.
  • 50mm Drain outlet.
  • 50mm Inlet.
  • The lid is supplied with no penetrations so that it be positioned to suit most situations
  • Requires 40kg of marble chips for use (sold separately)
  • Dimensions 330mm Ø x 300mm high

MODEL 53 Neutralising Box

The Model 53 is suitable for situations where a larger capacity is required (0.053m3) and is suitable for servicing a fume cupboard or larger laboratory sinks are used.
Features

  • Non-corrosive, fully welded uPVC body and lid.
  • 50mm Drain outlet.
  • 50mm Inlet.
  • The tank incorporates a baffle filtration system for extra efficiency
  • Requires 80kg of marble chips for use (sold separately)
